Sun, Moon, and Stars - Week 3

Brandy taught the kids all about the moon and sun this week. She started out showing them how the sun shines on our earth, giving us light and energy.
Then she pulled out her fun science pop-up books and showed the kids the planets and talked about the moon, too.
We talked about the surface of the moon and how craters and man's footprints are never blown away - well, unless Julie takes her big broom up there and sweeps them away.
Time for a song...

Then, everyone squeezed into the bathroom where it is dark, and we made our own eclipse.

No one complained about this craft: moon stages with oreos.
Zane was sure to copy all the moon stages correctly in his moon book.

Snack time. Our snacks looked a bit like our solar system. Careful, that orange might be hot. ;)
